I bought this set years ago and it occurred to me to come back and leave a review because of just how great it's been to me over the years. It's been exactly what I'd hoped it would be - a do-it-all, portable chess set that I can use for personal study, playing with friends, or simply as a decoration. The combination of wooden, magnetic pieces, not-foldable (I wanted this for aesthetic reasons), small enough to use as a study board, big enough to use for actual play, and affordable is very hard to find in a chess set. This was the only set I found that checked all those boxes and have not been disappointed. The case holds both the pieces and the board, and doesn't require you carry around an extra bag or something for the pieces, which is a huge plus. There was a mistake with my original order and the board itself was not magnetic, which resulted in the pieces pulling into each other and not staying on their squares. I emailed chessUSA about this and they replaced it for a new set, which is the one I have now. No hassle and no cost to me - great customer service. The new board arrived with a minor dent on one of the corners as if it had been dropped, which admittedly bugs me from time to time, but it's not enough to warrant a replacement. Overall if you want a magnetic, good looking, do-it-all board at a reasonable cost, I'd highly recommend this set
