Large Medieval Magnetic Chess Set with Inlaid Storage Chessboard
This chess set features theme figurine chessmen with two distinct medieval armies of Europe. These theme chess pieces are made from polystone and are magnetized and come complete with an inlaid golden rosewood chess box.Polystone is a compound made up of polyurethane resin mixed with powdered stone, which gives the chess pieces added weight and a porcelain or "stone-like" feel that is more durable than crushed stone, an expensive alternative. Additionally, polystone is slow to wear, making it ideal for collectors and casual players alike.
The chess board is inlaid golden rosewood featuring a lift off top with individual slot storage beneath. The board is magnetized to hold the chessmen in place.

Overall...the chess pieces were good. The pieces fell solid and heavy to the touch...great craftsmanship in design. My only issue is that, the set is supposed to be magnetic but, the magnetism between board and pieces isn't very strong. I can easily moves the pieces around with the slightest maneuvering of the board. Also, it's very difficult to remove the top the the storage set, there are no easy to grab tabs for the fingers...there are just shallow recessed slots.
