This chess set is a great high end travel set. Design in Germany, the high quality board and pieces roll out with a zippered compartment that contains all the disc shaped chess pieces. During the game the chessmen can be put back in to this pouch so you never have to worry about them getting lost like some folding chess sets. The set is lightweight and well constructed and great for travel or camping.The shape of the chess pieces also allow you to play checkers on this set as well. This set travels every day in my work bag. The leather board isn't fragile like a traditional wooden folding set. So it easily handles the abuse of getting thrown around. The pieces are securely held in place by the zippered pocket. The general size is perfect for impromptu games. The quality is excellent and looks beautiful. No doubt this set will withstand years of regular use. My only complaint is the lack of extra queens. If this set were ever lost or stolen, I'd buy another the following day.
