Our deluxe inlaid chessboards make a striking match to many of our Mark of Westminster Chess Pieces, as they are made from many of the same woods. An inlay involves actual blocks of wood as opposed to a veneer, which is the standard construction of most chess boards. These boards also have a full felt backing and a semi-gloss finish.

Honey Rosewood is a medium brown wood with a strong grain. This wood is ideal for a room with lighter wood-tones, such as teak and some walnuts, as well as those looking for a strong grain on a lighter brown to showcase or contrast their chess pieces.
