I ordered this set with the 13" Greek key metal chess board. When it arrived (promptly, as usual), I was surprised that the pieces were black and silver rather than black and gold, but the store quickly remedied the situation. Actually, both the silver and the gold look magnificent with the metal board -- almost like jewels (the gold is more striking, while the silver is delicately elegant). I emailed photos to some friends and family, and their consistent reaction was "Wow!" In addition, because the pieces are much heavier than wooden ones, playing a game with them is especially enjoyable. A very gratifying purchase.

I love love love this set. these pieces and the board I chose looks so great together.
I leave mine out to look at always and I have given the same combo as a gift twice.
I have grown accustomed to the good professional service at chessusa, but I gotta say...
