I purchased this chess set for my 10-year-old grandson for Christmas. I chose this because of the folding board to hold all the pieces. I also chose this specific one for the size of the pieces. It looks great and the pieces are a good size. I appreciated the 'how to play' instructions as well. Even though I know how to play, my grandson is learning, and let's be frank - grandparents don't know anything! LOL I know he'll love his first set for many years to come.
