20" Heirloom Italian Solid Brass and Wood Staunton Chess Set

These imported Italian chess pieces are some of the most unique and impressive of our staunton collection.

The metal parts of the set are solid brass and when you hold the pieces in your hand, you can feel it! Between the base and top of the pieces is a step with genuine hardwood, two contrasting looks that go brilliantly together.

This chess set comes in a flip top box with individual chess piece inserts in a styrofoam sheet. It is a great way to keep them protected, although they can also go in one of our humidor style chess boxes.

Exotic, italian briarwood elm root make up some of the most luxurious and interesting chess boards. This board features the classic, old world styling of elm root and it pairs brilliantly with virtually every popular chess piece wood. In particular, Brass and metal pieces look fantastic on elm root boards. This elm root board features a gloss finish to both protect the exotic wood and mark a glistening sheen that accents any chess pieces.
