Looking for the sleek look of black ebony, but not looking to pay the price for it? Ebonized Chess Pieces may be right for you. These chess pieces are boxwood lacquered black, giving you the expensive look of ebony for a fraction of the price.
Honey Rosewood is a softer, light brown wood with a strong grain. This wood is ideally suited to match light or dark brown woods such as Walnut or Teak.
Cardinal Rosewood is a dark brown, heavily grained wood It is ideally suited for chess boards with brown or reddish woods, such as Mahogany or Macassar.
Ebony chess pieces are the prize choice of many chess aficionados. The purest ebony has little grain, and is jet black in color. Ebony is an extremely rare and hard wood.
Crimson Rosewood is an exotic and rare wood ranging from a deep red wine color to a light red tone. These chess pieces are a good alternative to someone interested in the most elite of chess pieces with a grain not seen in Ebony.
